Opportunity to Change the World with Ashoka

Ashoka Ireland are looking for a Social Innovation Intern to join our team part or full-time for an unpaid internship from February to May, 2011.

Ashoka provides an inspiring international platform for entrepreneurial people to develop and hone skills, expand thinking, and implement brilliant ideas while creating new ones.  Ashoka is looking for a creative and entrepreneurial individual who is ready to lead research to support social innovation in Ireland and to provide programmatic support to Ashoka’s global initiatives on scaling innovation. The main responsibilities will include:

- Analyzing social innovations to develop and manage a comprehensive pipeline of innovations ready to scale.
- Supporting the creation of analytical and marketing resources on scaling innovation.
- Researching the Irish innovation landscape to contribute to national strategies to cultivate and import social innovation.
- Contribute to the design and strategy of relevant events.

We are looking for an exceptional individual:

- Who is entrepreneurial, who has started and lead things their whole life (from university societies to start-up businesses or large companies to consultancies).
- Who is broadly and passionately interested in the questions Ashoka addresses and the historical change it seeks.
- Who puts team goals ahead of personal ambition.
- Who has the highest ethical fibre and empathy.
- Who is trustworthy.
- Who has big vision and high standards.
