A&L Goodbody (Legal)

What do they offer? 

Advice & support on incorporation, partner/employee contracts, protecting your tech IP & brand, patents, volunteer waivers, tax & mergers. 

Request Process Time

Try to plan in advance. Most requests take on average 4 weeks to turn around. 

Parameters

2 requests per Fellow each year. There is no maximum amount of hours but we ask you to keep requests within reason. Each individual case must go through Paul Stapleton, rather than through lawyers previously dealt with.

Note: When requesting pro-bono support, please include background to organisation, legal request being as specific as possible and timeframe to when request is needed.

DDFH&B (Branding & Digital Media)

What do they offer? 

DDFH&B are a full service advertising agency offering Newspaper, Magazine, Outdoor, Digital, TV & Radio advertising, strategy, advice, creative, production and design. 

Pro-bono Opportunity

Depending on project and resource available, 50-100 agency hours, FOC (free of charge), after this time a pro bono rate of €95 will apply. Third party costs, i.e. where outside suppliers are used for production, will be secured as low as possible at charity rates, but will have to be billed. All will be agreed in advance of the commencement of the work.

Please note that the turn around time for requests depends on the staff availability in DDFH&B so please plan 3 months in advance. 

Deloitte (Accountancy)

What do they offer? 

Deloitte offer newly elected Ashoka Fellows three years of free accountancy/auditing services. 

Request Process Time 

Notify Ashoka three months in advance that your organisation will need an audit. 

Parameters

After the initial three years Deloitte will begin to charge fees. 

Note: If you have a once–off request regarding accountancy please contact the Community Manager. Paul will endeavour to identify someone from our community that can support you. 

EMCC (Mentoring & Coaching)

What do they offer?

European Mentoring and Coaching Council provide pro bono coaching to Ashoka Ireland Fellows. 

Parameters

EMCC will match the Fellow with a suitable coach. An initial meeting will follow which will outline a timeline for the coaching sessions, which will be dependent on the situation. Subsequent coaching sessions will follow as needed.

Google (Tech Volunteers)

What do they offer? 

Google will post Ashoka Fellow requests to their internal volunteer opportunities board. 

What resources are available? 

Website development, digital strategy advice, social media expertise 

Ad-Hoc Tech team

Ashoka Ireland have recruited 10 volunteers that have tech expertise who can support your requests. 

LinkedIn (Tech Support)

What do they offer? 

Use LinkedIn’s Volunteer Marketplace to source skilled volunteers to help you scale and maximize change making impact. 

Our partnership with the Marketplace gives us the ability to post unlimited volunteer ads for FREE that LinkedIn will target to potential volunteers by location and skill set.

McEvoy Associates (Recruitment)

What do they offer? 

Find and hire leadership & specialist talent. Their senior management recruitment services are delivered across Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe. 

Parameters

1 request per Fellow each year. 

McKinsey (Consultancy)

What do they offer? 

McKinsey & Company are a global management consulting rm providing strategy and advice to address organisational challenges. They also carry out economic analysis of Ashoka Fellows work. 

How do I access this resource? 

If you are selected to be part of The Globalizer program you will receive coaching from a selected McKinsey & Company mentor. 

Parameters

Please note that McKinsey & Company do not facilitate once- off strategy advice or projects for Ashoka.

O'Malley Sorohan (Recruitment)

What do they offer? 

Recruitment services for senior leadership positions including CEO, COO, CFO, Management and Head of Business Development.

1 request per Fellow each year. 

Request Process Time

Please note that recruitment can be a lengthy process. It may take time to find a suitable match for your organisation. 

Salesforce

What resources are available? 

Salesforce is a cloud based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application that helps you take care of your current and future donors and clients. 

Pro-bono Opportunity 

Ashoka Fellows are entitled to 10 free licenses meaning 10 members of your team can access salesforce for an unlimited amount of time. 

Parameters

If you are not using your salesforce account for a period of time e.g. 6- 9 months, salesforce will retract your license.

SNP Communications

What do they offer? 

SNP helps companies craft strategic messages, by coaching on executive presence, story- telling and leadership style. We bring messages to life with our creative services. And we help people hone and enrich their entrepreneurial spirit through consulting. 

Pro-bono Opportunity

Ashoka Fellows are entitled to three 4-hour workshops on the following skills: Executive Presence, Content Development, Running Effective Meetings and Conversation Skills. 

SNP will offer Fellows one hour of 1:1 coaching per quarter. This provides highly individualised training to diagnose and target key areas of improvement. 

Parameters 

Additional workshops and coaching sessions will be offered on a fee-paying basis. 

Thomson Reuters Foundation

What do they offer? 

TrustLaw is an innovative program of Thomson Reuters Foundation that links social enterprises with top law firms that have signed on to provide their expertise pro-bono. Applying and using the service is entirely free of charge. 

The TrustLaw team works with you every step of the way to refine your legal issues and reach out to firms that have the relevant expertise. 

How do I sign up? 

To access this pro bono support, you will need to sign up to their free service: apply.trust.org. We recommend that every organisation register with TrustLaw as their registration process takes approximately 4 weeks. They are useful in providing legal advice outside the jurisdiction of Irish Law, something that our Irish Legal Partners may not be able to do.

Be sure to indicate in your application how you are associated with us in order to speed up the application process. 

Fee-for-service Opportunities

These are services that have a fee. Ashoka has partnered with these organisations and where possible they will offer discounted services to our social entrepreneurs. 

Aristo

What do they offer? 

Aristo works with social entrepreneurs, directors and business executives to help them articulate successfully the purpose of their business and the value they provide. They also help organisations teams to pitch and present more successfully.
